Each cog will spin to indicate that it has reached its maximum quantity. As more Atoms are collected, the glowing ring inside each cog will gradually grow. And the right cog displays Otto's Rocket Fuel, which increases from Blue Atoms. The second left cog displays Otto's Jump-Jet fuel, which increases from Green Atoms. The far left cog displays Otto's health, which increases from Red Atoms, and shakes and beeps if it reaches its minimal quantity. The satellite dishes are checkpoints, and are scattered around the landscape of large levels.Īt the top left corner of the game screen are two large wheels, and on the top right is one. Otto will slowly die if he contacts anything fluid. As soon as Otto approaches a person, a flying saucer (described below) will attempt to abduct them with a red beam. Some humans will stand still, while others will walk around. To rescue humans, touch them, and they will teleport to his rocket ship. On his way, Otto will collect Atoms, weapons, and humans. Once he has collected enough, he can reenter his rocket ship. The one necessity for finishing nearly every level is to collect Blue Atoms, which serve as Rocket Fuel. Rocket ship, he must try to save as many humans as he can though it is not required to complete the level. Otto begins nearly every level by landing in his rocket ship, which will take off to the end of the level where it will station itself.
